Have you ever had a boss who never could see the eyes? Did you think that everything he did was wrong? Do you think they were working for the enemy? Wait, do not quit! There may be one reason why the two are complete opposites.

As you know everyone is different in almost all the different aspects. The people and their way of acting and reacting are by their nature and nurture. In other words, act as they do because of their genetics and their environment. Your environment includes the way they were raised as children by their parents, their social relationships with the opposite sex, and their previous work environments. These factors, when together, form what we are and make us unique. The key to getting along with your boss first understand his / her values ??compared to their own.

I had a boss at a previous company, which for the life of me could not get along with. He was a very intelligent person, I wanted desperately to get approval from, but I could never understand why he did what he did and why he could not respect the decisions I made. Given the same problem, we would find two completely different solutions.

Luckily, one day, during an exercise in teamwork, my group did a personality test. This test can classify a person's personality based on four distinct areas. They are extraversion-introversion, sensing-intuition, judging perceiving, thinking and feeling. Using information obtained from this test, the doctor can tell how far you are in these areas and what key personality traits may have. It was scary how accurate this test was for me and the rest of my group.

What was really interesting was that my boss and I polar opposites in every category of the Myers-Briggs scale. No wonder why we did not get along and see the eyes.

Both my boss and I learned a valuable lesson that day. We learned that if we were to get along would then have to see every situation from another point of view. Using the test results we are now able to understand how others would deal with the problem and begin to respect each other more and more.

Two years later, we still talk on the phone and have a great respect for others. If not for Myers-Briggs, I really do not know myself or my new friend. If you think you are working for the enemy, I strongly urge you to take the test. Many see things in a whole new light.
