I am a stupid person when it comes to PC stuff.   I acquired a virus blocker. . . thing, that was from the school I went to.  And after that and a full scan, I could no longer use opera or yahoo messenger.   I deleted them and downloaded them again, turned off-turned on my PC thousands times, but nothing is working.   I keep getting a message that something needs to be done with my fire wall and HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP ports.

Recommendations anyone?

What is the name of the Virus blocker you acquired?
whowever, some of Anti Virus products in the market this days by default block many programs, so you have to go to the sitting and enable any program you wish to be unblocked.
