Is your PC slow? Or maybe breaking more and more, Well if that's the case you might just because your PC is suffering old age! Yes it is true that the PC as people are aging well.

The good news

But unlike people can actually reverse the aging process and bring your beloved PC to life. All you need is a couple of easy tips to follow to turn your PC performance at full speed again.

Just follow these simple steps:

System Configuration Utility
Even when the computer sat there doing nothing that could be running at least 50 programs! These are programs that a CPU eating away at your poor, let alone have a right to go right into your memory as well. The reason for this is that over time the things that set the garbage that accumulates more and, although not even use that program, there is a very good possibility that it is running in the background.

To see what I mean press CTRL + ALT + DEL, then click the Processes tab. It will show how many of the processes running in the background.

1. To solve this little dilemma just go to set up for owners of XP, and type msconfig.

2. The system configuration is displayed and from there go to the Startup tab.

3. Once you have selected in the tab you are presented with all programs running in the background of your PC. What I recommend is to turn everything off, apart from its anti-virus.

If you see anything what you want, for example, MSN massager by all means keep it on but that are running in the background rather than going to SAP performance of your PC and also affect you is your time start as well.

System Configuration Utility, Part 2
Now go around in the System Configuration Utility, go to the second tab called SERVICES and go and uncheck the Hide All Microsoft Services MICROSOFT. We must do this (unless you're a little more experience), because if you will become one of the services that only Microsoft could ruin all the PC and do not want what we do.

Once you have unchecked the box should be just left with all non-Microsoft services.

Once again, I would recommend to turn them all off, but services to combat viruses. Once you've decided what to do and what not cut it click Apply and you're done.

Performance Options
Depending on which operating system (OS) to use, this could make or brake it. If your using Windows Vista? I would recommend turning some of the special visual effects in the lower-end systems. However if using XP, the performance is less impressive, but I think every last ounce of performance is crucial. In addition, you will not even realize half of them changed anyway.

Now much as I like to tell you how to get to these options, ways to reach very different compared to Vista and XP. So one way around this (and probably a cop out like that) I'm going to tell the owners in view of the kind of performance in the search bar, select Performance Information and Tools, and click Adjust visual effects and find your way.

For XP owners read on:

1. Go to Start, Control Panel and select Performance and Maintenance.

2. Adjust visual effects then you should find there.

Now I would recommend turning them all off except the last. The latter keeps the modern Windows feel that I personally like but hay, everyone is different.

Uninstall
A fast Hardrive is a empty hardrive. So if you have a hardrive full to the brim, delete programs and games that do not need to accelerate your Hardrive and watch those boot times fly!

Tip: If you're a gamer (like me) What you can do is to keep the saved game file and uninstall the full game. This way you can get space at concerts wanted to return, but not lose their place in Crysis. Cool eh.

Defragment
Now there are hundreds of other tips I wanted to share with you, but I wanted to keep this article as short as possible to avoid the brink of death. but the last thing you would see on my PC once I finish the optimization is to defragment.

Now your probably thinking that yes, I know that James. But what I recommend doing is to use another defragger, especially if the use of the dreaded Vista defragged.

Now, as you've probably gathered, I can not stand Vista's defragger, I think it is actually a step backward, not forward. But what really bothers me is that you have no idea how long it takes and how defragmented your hardrive is.

But do not worry, because I'm going to show you download a lot better than the poor attempt of Vista. Auslogics Disk defragger is its name and I think you'll find quick and easy to use and seems to do a good job too.

And another thing .. It's completely free to download too. Just Google "Auslogics Disk Defragmenter" and you should find at any time.
