Some people say that advertising is everything! Regardless of whether you have a product, a service, a hobby website or just want to share photos of your wedding, you have to advertise somehow to get traffic to your site or blog.

But not all traffic is equal. There are services that can help you drive tons and tons of traffic to your site and it does no good at all, because it is targeted traffic.

Take, for example, all the different 'surf for traffic or traffic clicking' programs that are out there. If you have a website it is your hobby, such as model airplanes, then what good this traffic really going to do? Who is using these services?

Webmasters and merchants want traffic on your own site. So most likely will not spend more time on your page that is required by the little timer these services and then are gone again. Even if your site is about these traffic services (this is the only time you see benefit greatly using this tool), you still have to spend a lot of time just surfing and clicking around to get a real benefit of these programs. Once marketers realized this changed the subject. Began promoting the various programs to a lot of other companies to get you in their downlines, so they could get some traffic as a bonus. This became their new focus. The problem is that everyone else did exactly the same, so not many people browsing the Internet more.

Bottom line is this. You need targeted traffic. So here are some tips on how you can generate exactly the traffic you need and bring the visitors you want on your website without having to run after them.

1. Content
What is your website? Just have a page with lots of links and not much else?

If this is the case, think about adding content to your web site will be of great value to all potential visitors. You can write articles or find articles in one of the many directories that can be printed on your site.

2. Talk about your experiences on the topic.
You do not have to endure a kind of resume (although that can work too), but rather try to write about what you are doing, regarding the topic of your choice. Let's look at the model airplanes again briefly, one could speak or write on the flatter type to be built, how the last time his plane was flying, what challenges you are or maybe even after some photos your aircraft or flying is.

3. Forums and message boards.
You could add a forum board or ad to your website where visitors can interact with each other. There are plenty of free services available out there that can be used remotely to organize a forum for you, or you can install software on the server of your website. To find some of these, just head to your favorite search engine and you will definitely find plenty to choose from.

And while you are visiting the search engine, why not do a search bulletin boards and forums that are already there for the theme? You can visit and interact with visitors, as many there and lets you send a signature or a profile, add a small line of your own website with a link (just check the forum rules first for
not violate any of them).

4. Start a blog.
Blogs are very popular and search engines love them because they provide the content is always fresh and new. Your blog would be a great place to talk about what they are up to that day. So if you spent some time today buying new parts for the aircraft could write about the place where found, how much it will cost, why you chose the parts, what really happens.

The really good thing is that you can point your blog links to your website, so when the search engine is stopped to grab and index your latest content, will also stop on their website and you start seeing very targeted traffic heading your way.

5. Write articles.
Writing articles is not difficult and can be a great source of fresh traffic back to your website. There are plenty of magazines on any topic out there and there are a lot of directories where you can share your article.

Basically, you have to do is write an article and then add a small resource box that links to your website (like a signature) and then let other ezine publishers know that is what allows you to print your article in your ezine. And many publishers go to article directories to find new content for their newsletter and even their sites. And since there
websites and ezine newsletters on any imaginable topic out there, you can not lose. Write an article every two days and post it on the boards (even once a week or every two weeks will begin to get traffic). Very soon you will find new traffic from search engines, newsletters and websites.

Best of all, these 5 simple tips to bring targeted traffic, ie visitors come to you because they are interested in what you wrote.
