These myths have billions of dollars of low cost airlines in payroll money in vain.

Myth # 1) Structure of spontaneity loot.

"Where is the agenda?" the answer was: "I do not want to spoil the spontaneity by imposing a structure."

Fact: If the spontaneity were a universal business practice sound buildings are built without blueprints. Of course, any smart business leader works without a plan.

The solution: Set a goal and then prepare an agenda. Ideally, this program should be as clear, complete and specific that someone else can use it to direct the session to get the achieve the goal.

Myth # 2: Since it's my meeting I should do all the talking.

Some meetings are run like a medieval court. The president sits on a throne while the subjects verbal sit in respectful silence. The Storyteller justified by the thought: if the other people at the meeting knew something worthwhile that could be leading the meeting.

Fact: If you are the one who speaks, who is working very hard. Also, realize that most people protect themselves from the extended monologue by sending your thoughts out on vacation. That is, nobody is paying attention: they are busy dreaming, doodling, or dreaming.

The solution: It transmits a large amount of information from a note or email. Then call a meeting on the basis of activities of the participants pushed the test or enhance understanding.

Myth # 3: Meetings are free.

Most meetings are paid for with soft money. That is, money that was spent on wages. In addition, there is no request for purchase is necessary. No budget should be approved. All someone has to do is call a meeting.

Fact: The meetings are very expensive. That the use of people's time, and payroll is the biggest part of managing a business. When people have bad meetings, wasting the most important resource in a business - people who spend time working to make a profit for the company.

The solution: Design meetings for a profit. After all, a meeting is a business activity, not a company picnic.
